World Youth Day Recap

When Fr. Brad asked me if I would help to lead a group to go to World Youth Day, I excitedly said “YES!” Then he told me that I needed to look at airplane reservations; and I thought, “That’s silly. We can drive to Denver!!” 13 months ago, I had no idea that WYD wasn’t in Denver and that I would be traveling to Portugal! 13 months ago, when I started our fundraising campaign, and asked for our goal of $44,000, I had no idea that our parish would so lovingly and generously provide our goal amount, along with countless prayers and well wishes. I am blessed to have had this World Youth Day journey and am very grateful for the opportunity of the trip, but the parishioners, the stories, and the support I have received along the way have blessed me abundantly and I cannot personally thank you all enough!
