Stephen Ministry

Stephen ministers assist Fr. Brad and our Deacons by offering one to one confidential lay pastoral care to anyone (parishioner, Catholic, or neither) experiencing grief due to loss of a loved one, divorce, job loss, terminal or chronic illness or disability, or other difficult transitional life event. Stephen Ministers attend a training course within the Diocese to learn specific caring and listening skills. If you are a caring person who enjoys helping others, this may be an excellent ministry for you. Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system.

Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers—called Stephen Ministers—to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.
