Reconcilation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is nothing less than a precious pearl. The person who discovers its full beauty is really blessed! For the Sacrament of Reconciliation is a sacrament of liberation, joy, and praise.

Reconciliation is a sacrament that can heal hurts and restore healthy relationships. It is a sacrament of continuing growth – growth in closeness to God and deepening oneness with our family.

In this sacrament we can experience what it means to be blessed – what it means to praise the Lord for suffering and dying to make us free again.

Reconciliation can lead us, in humble gratitude, to the Eucharist. It can lead us to praise God for his saving grace and for the gift of peace. It can make us instruments of peace and of all-embracing justice.

The sacrament of Reconciliation does demand ongoing conversion, sorrow for sin, and humble confession. But this turns out to be gladdening news. For it is through sorrow that the Lord awakens in us the praise of his mercy. It is through humble confession that we come back home to the healing truth.

Our Lady of the Pines offers Reconciliation on Saturdays from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm or by appointment.

Advent and Lenten Communal Penance services are offered during both seasons.
